The 2010 Country Music Awards honored country music artists for musical performances and other career achievements during the 2010 calendar year.
2010 marked the 2nd time The Bushwackers won a Golden Guitar. Their first was in 1981, almost 30 years ago. Monika Allan, author of the book The Tamworth Country Music Festival told us “Dobe (Newton) was over the moon.”
Hosting the 2010 CMAA Awards was the country music sister trio, The McClymonts. Jayco was the sponsor.
The Country Music Awards is a highlight of the 10-day Tamworth Country Music Festival. The Awards is organized each year by the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA).
