The 1983 Country Music Awards honored country music artists for musical performances and other career achievements during the 1983 calendar year.
Sponsored by Commonwealth Bank of Australia this year. It was originally called the Australasian Country Music Awards until 1993. “Golden Guitar” trophies were given to the winners. The Awards was a highlight of the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
