The official name of the V8 Supercar race has changed over the years depending on the race’s sponsor and length of the race. However, most Australians call it the Bathurst 1000 and although we list each year with the actual name used, overall we’ll continue to refer to the race as the Bathurst 1000.
2013 Supercheap Bathurst 1000 is the fastest in the history of this event. In the 2011 race Nick Percat become the first rookie winner of the race since 1977.
