The race is one of the most exciting, fastest and dangerous motor races in Australia. The Bathurst 1000 attracts crowds of more than 170,000 people each year to watch some of Australia’s best racers compete over 3 days on this daunting track.
The official name of the V8 Supercar race has changed over the years depending on the race’s sponsor and length of the race. However, most Australians call it the Bathurst 1000 and although we list each year with the actual name used, overall we’ll continue to refer to the race as the Bathurst 1000.
