Australia increased its population by 131.8% over the last 50 years. Compared to the rest of the world, its rank has fallen from a high of 40th biggest in1960 to 52nd in 2010. In comparison, the rank remained the same while their population increased for China (125.5%), India (198.1%), and the (USA 46.1%).
