The Winter Olympic Games is a major international multi-sport event held once every four years. The first Winter Olympics, the 1924 Summer Olympics, were held in France.
Winter Olympic Games is a show for all ages, with events for both athletes and spectators. The Olympics are a celebration of athletics and sportsmanship, so the people involved in them represent a broad range of nations from around the world.
Australia first competed in the Winter Olympic Games in 1936. It has competed in every games since then with the exception of the 1948 Games.
