Australia’s defence force is a multi-service organisation made up of the Royal Australian Navy, the Australian Army and the Royal Australian Air Force. The armed forces have three primary functions: to defend Australia’s national interests; to support international peace and security through military means; and to assist in the event of civil emergencies within Australia

Australia no longer has conscription. The minimum age at which an individual may volunteer for military service is 17 years of age. The following links will take you to websites with a variety of military related information.
