The Logie Award Winners 1979 is a list of Australian television program Logie Awards winners and nominees. The awards are presented annually by the Australian television industry, currently as the TV Week Logie Awards, to recognise excellence in many areas of television, including acting, entertainment and news categories.

Hosted by Bert Newton. Special Guests were: USA sports champion Muhammad Ali, USA stars Cicely Tyson, Henry Silva, Robin Williams (Mork & Mindy, Lauren Tewes (Love Boat), Bill Hayes (Days of Our Lives), Susan Seaforth (Days of Our Lives) and UK stars David Hemmings, Yootha Joyce (George & Mildred), Brian Murphy (George & Mildred). The Awards were televised on the Nine Network.
