Australian National Living Treasure

An Australian National Living Treasure is an Australian who has been recognised for their contribution to the community. The award was established by the National Trust of Australia in 1999 and recipients are honoured with a medal and citation.

THE TITLE OF National Living Treasure is given to a person when they accomplish an outstanding achievement, swelling the country’s consciousness with admiration, pride and acknowledgement.

Over the years the list has changed as people pass away and new ones
