Some people say you have to have rocks in your head to attempt our fourth puzzle! How fast can you solve it?
The Devil’s Marbles
This group of large rounded rocks is located in the Northern Territory on the Stuart Highway between the cities Darwin and Alice Springs. Set against a background of the flat central Australian desert, some rocks perform a very impressive balancing act.
The Aboriginal Arrernte people believe that the boulders are the eggs of the rainbow serpent. In the Aboriginal tradition, the rainbow serpent is a powerful being that protects its people and punishes law breakers. Places like Devil's Marbles are sacred places to Aboriginal people.
