Here’s a fun test to try. Read the following paragraph:

Amazingly there are 10 “F”s in the paragraph!!

If you spotted 10, you are pretty smart!
If you saw 8, you can turn you nose up at most anyone.
If you found 6, you are above average.
If you only spotted 5, you are average.
If you found less than 5, maybe you need glasses.
What’s the secret?
Your brain tends to overlook the “F” in the word “OF” when it’s in written in all capital letters.
And since we don’t normally read things in all capital letters, it’s easy to miss the “F” in words like “SCIENTIFIC” where the “F” doesn’t stand out the way it generally does in lower case letters (scientific).
