Many Australian organisations provide information and opportunities to the disabled who want to participate in recreational sports as well as seriously compete at top levels in their chosen sport.
Although the level of support varies, most state athletics associations are trying to improve the access to regular competition through the interclub network.
The more open, accepting and supporting we are to those around us, the better our country will be.
