The Mount Panorama Bathurst 1000 is the biggest event on the Australian motorsport calendar and has been for many years. It is an endurance event that takes place at Australia’s best known race track, Mount Panorama, where teams push themselves and their cars to the limit.
The official name of the V8 Supercar race has changed over the years depending on the race’s sponsor and length of the race. However, most Australians call it the Bathurst 1000 and although we list each year with the actual name used, overall we’ll continue to refer to the race as the Bathurst 1000.
