Sunshine in the Rain

by Michael Barry, Paul Read
and Stormcellar

Sunshine in the Rain (wonderful title) is the second song I've added to our website by the Australian band Stormcellar.

I loved Last Drinks at Glenrowan and once I heard Sunshine in the Rain, I asked Michael Barry if I could add it as well to show you the diverse styles of Stormcellar.

I hope you enjoy their music as much as I do.

Stormcellar performs at various venues all over Australia and you can learn more about them at the bottom of this page.

Listen to a 1 minute excerpt  of the song

I’ll be your sunshine in the rain

I’ll be your cure to ease the pain

When it feels like everything

In the world is set to try you

And it seems no one is standing by you

I’ll be your sunshine in the rain

Until you find your feet again

When you feel you can’t go on

And you’re tired of deciding

(That all you do is wrong)

And it isn’t worth the trying

I’ll be your sunshine in the rain

Cos you know that hard times have an ending

Even when I know you’re just pretending

That it doesn’t matter much

Anyway

I’ll be your sunshine in the rain.

When you find you need a friend

When you’re reaching out for help

And no one will show a kindness

(And it seems there’s nothing left)

And there’s nothing to rely on

I’ll be your sunshine in the rain

Cos no one knows you more than I do

And when it’s all said and done

You’re gonna shine on through
