The ARIA Awards are presented annually by the Australian Recording Industry Association to recognise achievements in the Australian music industry.

The 1991 ARIA Awards marked the first time the Awards was televised. Today’s ARIA Awards is seen by around 2 million people on television, and approximately 2,500 recording industry guests and 5,000 members of the general public.
