Shane Bourne hosted the event. Presenters included Andre Rieu, Jamie Durie, Lisa McCune, Stephen Curry, Sarah Murdoch, Karl Stefanovic, Peter Stefanovic, Shaun Micallef, Shane Jacobson, Margaret Pomeranz, Catherine McClements, David Stratton, Richard Roxburgh, and Deborah Mailman.
Performers included Katy Perry, Jessie J, and the American band Maroon 5.
New Voting This year marks a major change in the way the public votes for the Most Popular categories. In previous years only people who purchased a copy of the TV Week magazine could vote. Starting this year voting is done entirely online over a 12 week period. Prizes are also being offered to readers of TV Week magazine who vote online and enter a special code found in the magazine.
The new system has received some complaints because it requires a vote in every category. This reportedly has forced people to vote for someone that they don’t even know just to finish their entry.
